I hated the flowers on these shoes but the shoes themselves looked very cute on me so I kept them in the closet for years saying I’d do something.
Well today I did! I yanked off the flowers and made felt bows to glue in their place.

Look at how easily you can transform a plain picture frame into something spectacular with a glue gun and random things like ribbon, glitter, fake flowers and rhinestones.

Halloween: how to make spider web balloons
If you’re planning a halloween party to remember, now’s the time to get making props and decorations for the event. One of the coolest ideas I’ve seen is balloons filled with ‘spider webs’ (right), which makes for a really spooky effect. You’ll need access to some helium, and ideally a substance like hi-float which will allow for the heaviness of the balloon’s
What you’ll need:
- HI-FLOAT
- 11-inch clear latex balloons
- Small rubber spiders
Instructions
- Inject a little less than the usual amount of Hi-float into an clear balloon and rub it around to coat the inside.
- Put a small rubber spider inside the balloon.
- Inflate the balloon to about 75% of the full-size with air.
- Seal the balloon with a plastic disk or clip. Let it dry overnight. Place the balloon out in the open where there is good air circulation. It must be very dry in order to form the spider web.
- The next day remove the clip and deflate the balloon.
- Hold the balloon by the stem and the top as shown to the right below, and stretch it a few times to separate the dry film from the wall of the balloon.
- Slowly inflate the balloon with Helium or air.
- When the balloon is almost full-size the Hi-Float film will separate from the wall in several places and hang inside the balloon to form a spider web.
-If the coating does not separate, deflate the balloon, stretch it a couple of more times and reinflate it.Halloween is my favorite.
Doable
Just glue wide lace around a glass votive and when you display it just keep the seam in the back~

More decorations for my apartment. The skulls I got today from Michael’s arts and craft store for $1.99 each plus 20% off.
What I did:
- Apply modpodge/glue with a paint brush one section at a time and add glitter (don’t coat the whole thing or the glue might dry before you get to it)
- Once covered in glitter, spray the skull with a clear glaze
- Add decorations :]
Inspired by Eva’s Calaverita blog~
I’d love to make a few for my dorm <3
Do you have any beloved tshirts (possibly from your mall goth days) that you really don’t want to throw out? You can turn them into throw pillows! This would be especially good for those who are about to set off to college
Materials:
T-shirt
Needle and thread (similar to the color of the shirt)
Scissors
Stuffing
Step 1: Turn shirt inside out
Step 2: Cut along the red line

Step 3: Sew along the purple lines (leave a small opening to turn shirtright side out again)

oops, I mean right side out in the diagram, sorry ‘bout that!
Step 4: Turn it right side out and stuff it!
Step 5: Sew a hidden stitch where the hole is (nice little tutorial on how to do a hidden stitch here)
There you go! A nice little piece of nostalgia for your bed!

Sorry I didn’t do a proper picture tutorial this time, but I can’t seem to find the t-shirt I want to use! But I do hope it was clear enough! I promise to post my finished product as soon as I find my shirt (hope I didn’t throw it out!)
